wine stain

 dress: H&M
cardigan: Banana Republic resale
flats: Target
necklace: Unpossible Cuts
purse: gift from Jaynet :)

Napa wine tasting at V.Satui. I was the driver and I managed to spill wine on my dress within seconds of sitting down on our lovely little picnic blanket. I have always belted this dress since it is quite full because of all the layers. I felt kind of like I was wearing a tent. And that if the breeze picked up this dress would fly up over my head. Luckily that did not happen. However, I am pretty sure I repeatedly flashed the world every time I got on or off our blanket.

wrapped or belted

My Aunt Kathryn drew my name for Christmas and without a single hint from me chose this beautiful, warm and cozy wrap thing. I have no idea what it's called but I love it! I belted it in the morning and layered up with a cardigan under it, as well as gloves and a hat. But by 4 the temperature had warmed up enough for me to shed layers down to my sleeveless dress and the wrap. I am including one picture of it belted but I wasn't happy with how I did it. I haven't taken the time to play around with it. It looked super bulky but it sure was warm. I felt all sorts of matchy matchy yesterday rocking all beige and cream. :)

belted...what do you think? It's not quite right.

unbelted...

bringing the sunshine

Today got cold! The temperature in the air just took a nose dive. My response? Sundress, light tights, and a paper thin cardigan. It's not like I was pounding the pavement today. I had a baking day at a friend's house and was indoors. I will admit that the moccasins came out while we were baking. Even I am not so impractical as to pair my apron with heeled boots :)

These boots are my very first pair of Seychelle's. I've been lusting over heeled, lace-up, ankle boots. I decided since they are all expensive, I may as well shell out the money for a brand that has a reputation for comfort and quality. I originally bought a pair from Aldo but took them back in a fit of buyer's remorse.

This outfit made me feel sunny and bright despite the cold overcast day. I almost went with a marigold sweater but decided to tone it down. The grey works better. Have I mentioned that I looooove these boots.
