Festive

skirt: resale
top: Old Navy gift
sweater: Old Navy
necklace: Premier Jewelry gift
pirate bunny pin: [un]possible cuts
wedges: Target sale

I look ready for St Patrick's Day, don't I? I have this think that I don't even think I realize I do, where on holiday weeks, I dress up for that holiday all week long. On the week of Valentine's Day, I am pretty sure I wore some version or pink or red every single day. The week leading up to St Patty's, I, all of a sudden, rediscovered every green item in my closet.
Easter's approaching. Pastels, I'm coming for you!

blogging and baking

skirt: Pins and Needles resale
top: Old Navy sale
heels: Steve Madden sale
Oakland necklace and Sugar Skull earrings: [un]possible cuts

The lazy days of summer are in full swing for me. I finished teaching summer school last Friday and have been doing serious relaxing this week. It's always a battle to jut enjoy time off and not fill it with tasks and activities. So many activities. This summer break I plan to blog more and bake more...both of which have been absent from my life lately.

plaguing me

skirt: resale
top: Forever 21
lovebirds necklace: [un]possible cuts
wedge sandals: Target

As you can see, this gorgeous, sunny day was crazy windy. This blouse is the item in my closet, currently plaguing me. I always have one. One item that has elements that I love but as a whole I can never quite make work. Looking at you ugly skirt and lavender dress. I love the sheer material and ruffles on this blouse. I love sweet, little peter pan collar and sleeves. But the darn thing doesn't look right with anything!! So, if you have followed me for a while, you know that it is now my mission to make this blouse work. Stay tuned. ;)

treasure

wrap: Chico's gift
top: resale no tag
sweater: GAP
skirt: resale
boots: Seychelle's Romance

I have found that I have loved this skirt when I've paired it with a green top. It doesn't look right with much else. However, the cut and length of it are just right...short but not too much, full skirt but a heavy material that I don't have to worry about blowing up ;)
It is a treasure of a resale find.

view from the bumper

skirt: Pins and Needles resale
button up: GAP
sequin tank: JCrew clearance
wedges: Lela Rose for Payless clearance
necklace: Unpossible Cuts
bag: Let Them Eat Cake from Sway
sunglasses: Walgreens

I broke my camera! My camera that I just got this January! Ugh! The tripod tipped over and the camera hit right on the extended lens. A totally random thing. I am careful with my camera and didn't realize the tripod was unbalanced. The lens didn't crack or anything. It wouldn't go back in at first so I messed with it...trying to straighten it out. That worked for a couple weeks but now it has gone in and won't come back out.
It's just a little canon powershot, nothing fancy. Most of what I read online says fixing it will cost more than it is worth. So now I have to decided if I want to suck it up and get a new camera.

That explains the crappy photos lately. I have had to use my phone and get creative with propping it up. Today I discovered that, in good light, the bumper of my car makes a perfect stand.

Check out my new shoes. I have been coveting these since I saw them on Kendi's blog but $60 is way too much to spend on shoes from Payless. Saturday I hit the jackpot because this entire line by Lela Rose was on massive clearance at the Westfield Payless. Woo freakin hoo!
