happy coincidence

 dress: Anthro clearance
boots: Romance by Seychelle's

I love my new [un]possible cuts necklace. I went to see their new stuff the other day and immediately honed in on this colorful piece. And wasn't it a happy coincidence that it looks perfect with my new $19 Anthro clearance dress. I know, I know. Shocking that I could find ANYTHING in that store under $50. I swear they sell socks that cost more than most of my shoes. I totally lucked out when I went shopping to spend my birthday money (thanks Dad and Beth and Grandma and Grandpa)

scratched lens

blouse: Forever 21
shorts: Forever 21
sandals: H&M
cherry blossom necklace: [un]possible cuts

For the next few days that remain in June, [un]possible cuts is having sale on their gorgeous, unique necklaces. Two for $30. Click this link and get them while the getting is good ;)

I am still experimenting with different locations at my new place. There are plenty of places with good this point I think the real problem is my camera phone. Finding places with good light and then finding somewhere to prop it up that is a good angle. Ugh. What a pain! And I am pretty sure I have dropped my phone too many times. The lens is scratched and it may be time to suck it up and get a real camera. I just am so reluctant to buy something I can't afford. I don't want to get just any cheap camera but I have never put something on my credit card that I didn't have the money in my bank account to pay off immediately. It is this reservation that puts me in the minority of young adults who does not have credit card debt. But people do it all the something and pay it off slowly. Maaaaaaaybe...

I can never, ever remember how to spell that word! It's one of those words for me. I think it's that it doesn't follow a common spelling pattern or maybe my silly brain refuses to hold on to that tidbit. What are your words that you always misspell? Google search bar just informed me that the first spelling is correct...but firefox spell check is underlining it. Hmmmm firefox says fuchsia but that looks wrong to me. Okay, you must be long past caring but. fun fact, it is fuchsia, named after German botanist Leonhart Fuchs. In America, it is commonly misspelled as fuschia. You can thank yahoo answers for that ;)

This is actually today...I am searching out new photo spots at my new place.

Looking back through by outfits in May and early June, I was on a serious blue and yellow kick. I wore a whole lot of blue especially. I wore this because we were having a hot week and this particular day was supposed to get up towards the 90s. Nothing beats a light summer dress on a hot day!

taking it back

Don't hate me for being the kind of blogger who is CONSTANTLY paying catch up. If I can keep it together, I'm going to be getting outfits from the past month up over the next week.

School is out for summer and leisurely mornings are the greatest thing since sliced bread! I am not much for sleeping in. I love waking up and not having to rush to shower and get ready. Today I woke up, looked up some recipes, went to Trader Joe's and am having some coffee as I play catch up on here. Sigh. It's lovely.

The quality of these photos is sooooo poor, the light in my living room was almost gone. However, I really wanted to capture this outfit as it was the second time I had worn in and hadn't posted it the first time. These crappy photos don't do it justice.  I messed around with the saturation feature on picasa trying to tweak them but my editing skills are no match for a camera phone combined with poor lighting.

dot dot dot

 dress: Vintage
pins: random
tights: H&M
heels: Simply Vera Wang

Excuse my absence but I have been mighty preoccupied lately. Open house, visitors, moving, being sick, lack of internet. Life has been conspiring against this little old blog.

I figured I would come back with a bang. They are serious polka dot tights. This dress has been seen now and again on here. I recently unearthed it when packing and unpacking. When your closet gets super full, things get lost. My new closet is SO MUCH bigger!
