teal plaid...done

skirt: J Crew outlet sale
plaid button up: J Crew Outlet sale
belt: Target
Hawk wedges: Seychelle's
necklace: Crossroads

As much as I like mixing patterns, I also am a fan of the mono-chromatic look. Teal pencil skirt and a teal plaid button up...did that!!! I added some coral accessories, some coral lipstick and called it a day.

wind blown worked for me today

 top: H&M
skirt: resale
necklace: Crossroads
heels: Target

Surprisingly my hair looked much better once the wind had it's way with it. I had to hold it out of my face for almost every photo though. This apple print top is a current favorite, as is peplum anything. I have been busy, busy and not posting. I hope this weather keeps up because I am loving it! So long tights and hello bare legs.

Back to School Night

Back to School Night was a success! Even though I probably talked a mile a minute, out of nervousness (ie terror), the parents were great. It is so much more difficult to stand up and talk in front of a room full of adults, than children. Feedback was positive and I feel like I set the tone for a wonderful year.

I wore this dress as a skirt again. Last time I paired it with a green cardigan and tucked a blouse up, held in place with a belt. Today I opted for a grey sweater and instead tucked the top half of the dress down, making it a high-waisted skirt, so I could tuck the shirt in. These darn shoes kill my feet but I continue to wear them.

**Sorry for the weird grainy photos...indoor photos at 10 pm. sigh, long day

indecisiveness

I was super indecisive today. I got dressed, changed, changed back. Then went outside to take photos. Looked at the photos, then went back inside and changed again!! Sometimes you try to make something work and it just doesn't. It just big, fat doesn't. I probably should have just chosen something else entirely and started from scratch but I'm a stubborn one. So now I have two sets of outfit photos. I need some feedback. Which one works...or perhaps neither does. That's okay too.
I felt like wearing this maxi dress as a skirt today. I first paired it with a white top with yellow stripes, a marigold cardigan, a belt and a beanie. Then I felt like I had too much yellow and orange going on...kind of like the sun threw up all over me. Here it is...

dress (worn as skirt): Macy's
top: H&M
Cardigan: GAP clearance
belt: Target
boots: Seychelles

So then I tried to tone it down. I lost the belt and beanie. I switched the all the yellow for a tan sweater and added a coral necklace.

sweater: GAP clearance
necklace: Crossroads

So what do you think? I am incapable of decisions today :( On a side note I go back to work tomorrow after 3 weeks of leisure. Sadly, the midday chair photos will be coming to an end so I need to throw a few more in for good measure :)

clean lines, messy hair

the weather here in the east bay has been marvelous this week! Sunny, cool, perfect weather to be outside! Today I actually went bare legs and got a little glimpse of the lovely spring to come. Walking around Oakland today I felt all bouncy and happy with my white skirt and breton stripe shirt...and messy hair. They is what air dry looks like on me. It's that scraggly mop of hair that I was missing right after I got my hair trimmed. It's back!!!! Hello old friend.

Casual Friday

I was not planning to wear anything worth posting today. Casual friday at work doesn't really inspire me. But I got dressed and ended up really liking how this casual look came together. maybe it's the side bun, which has now become my go-to updo. Or this new coral necklace. Or even these newish cords, that I forgot I had. I love it when that happens. You think your outfit is going to be "meh" and it ends up "wow".
